Photo Challenge

Can you capture a still image relating to a key competency of New Zealand education? Not as easy as it sounds? Why don’t you give it a try as there are great prizes to be won!!

Start Date:	Week commencing 22nd Feb 2010 (one competency per day)
Closing Date:	Each day 22nd Feb to 26th Feb by 9pm The photo challenge is now closed. Winners will be announced at the Planet 2010 show on Saturday 13th March and published on this website.
The Challenge:	View the Entries: Fri 26th Topic: Participating and contributing Thur 25th Topic: Relating to Others Wed 24th Feb Topic: Managing Self Tue 23rd Feb Topic: Using language, symbols and texts Mon 22nd Feb Topic: Thinking Over the period of one week take photos around your school relating to the New Zealand Curriculum Key Competencies of: Thinking; Using language, symbols and texts; Managing self; Relating to others; Participating and contributing. To be eligible to win you must submit an entry for each of the five core competencies.
Prizes will be awarded to:	Year 0-6 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Year 7-8 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Year 9-13 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place
The judges will be looking for:	Relevance to topic, interpretation of theme, originality, photographic/design skills.

Photo Challenge Terms and Conditions

You can only submit one photo per student for the topic each day.
No entries will be accepted after the closing date.
The entrants must be:

Resident in New Zealand or New Zealand citizens
New Zealand School students and under 20 years of age.

Any student found to be participating in an incorrect age category will be disqualified.
The entrant must be the original author of the work entered as described in the Copyright Act 1994.
The completed registration form confirms the entrant’s consent to these Conditions.
Entries submitted without a signed Parental or Guardian consent form will not be accepted.
The TIG will have the right to print the name and work of any entrant in publicity in respect of the competition and all matter incidental thereto.
The TIG will have the right to interpret these conditions and to determine all issues arising out of this contest. Any such interpretations and determinations shall be final.
The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
